Prayer Ministry
From the Prayer Ministry
Dear Friends,

I took an article from the archives, written by our dear
friend, Floreine Nesmith.  I trust you will enjoy this article
the second time around as much as you did the first time.

Love and Prayers,

For The Prayer Ministry

“Because you have asked this, and have not asked for yourself long life or
riches or the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself
understanding. . . I now do according to your word.”
1 Kings 3: 11, 12

JULY:  a month for summer activities and, for some, vacation.  And, in
Unity, the month associated with the faculty of UNDERSTANDING.

As the scripture above suggests, Understanding is sought through prayer.
It has been written that the wisest prayer of all is for an Understanding
heart:

“An understanding heart is filled with love and wisdom.
An understanding heart is compassionate.
An understanding heart has vision and the ability to bring vision into
manifestation.
An understanding heart avoids mistakes and pitfalls.
An understanding heart is undisturbed by the clamor, noise and confusion
of the world about it.
An understanding heart is unselfish, realizing that all mankind is one.
An understanding heart does not give way to self-pity, self-condemnation,
self-righteousness.
An understanding heart is trusting and expectant of good.”

Best wishes to each of you for a happy and wonderful summer.  Please
know that wherever you may be—at home, at work, or on vacation—our
kindest thoughts and prayers attend you.

Love and Peace.,
Floreine Nesmith

only passing clouds in the sky of pure mind where the light of truth
