| Prosperity Action Team Gets to Work! |
The Prosperity Action Team has recently been formed to brainstorm ideas regarding money-making
activities to help Unity Christ Church become solvent again. Members of the team include Elizabeth
Okenfuss, Juankee McKinney, Rudolph Clay, Judi Coleman, Rochelle Nevels, Carolyn Perry, Linda
Gibbons, Barrie Scott and Pam Anderson, chair. If you have any interest in joining our team or sharing
ideas please contact anyone on this list.
We are very excited to announce that we will put on a Trivia Night on Saturday, July 19, 2008. Doors
will open at 6:30 PM and questions begin at 7 PM. Tickets will be $25 each and we will seat tables of 6.
Talk to your friends and family because we expect tables will go fast. Registration forms will be
available at the church office or in the lobby on Sunday mornings. There will also be a Silent Auction
during the evening of the Trivia Night. We are asking that you ask anyone you know who owns a
business that would have items to donate, for a donation. We will have receipts for you to give for the
donations. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR TRIVIA NIGHT TEAMS: Trivia Night Set up Team;
Auction Team; Registration Team; Trivia Night Clean Up Team; Refreshments Team. THIS IS A
WONDERFUL WAY TO GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER AND HAVE FUN TOGETHER WHILE
HELPING OUR CHURCH. PLEASE JOIN US!
The other exciting activity that will culminate at the Trivia Night is a 50/50 drawing that will have the
winner of the drawing win $10,000 and Unity Christ Church will take $10,000. Tickets will be available
the second Sunday of June. You can call or pick one up at Church. There will only be 200 tickets sold
and they will be $100.00 a piece. The neat thing is that 1 person can purchase a ticket or 10 names
could be on a ticket. This way the ticket is not such a big bite for 1 person. I have participated in a
drawing like this before and put my name on a ticket with 3 other persons so all I had to put up was $25
and if I had won I would have taken $2,500.00 home. This is a "no brainer" and I hope you participate
and get your friends and family to participate with you. Help Unity Christ Church and possibly help
yourself. We need your help selling the chances!
Regarding escrips, which will now be reported along with other news from the Prosperity Action Team,
since December 2007 Schnucks has reported our proceeds at $199.22. Remember they always lag 90
days so this only includes through March. Together We're Better scrips has made Unity Christ Church
$153.15 though the past month. These accounts will take time to grow and with your continued support
they will grow every month. Thank you for remembering to use your Schnucks card and order scrips
from us on Sunday for other shopping you do.
THERE IS MORE COMING IN THE NEAR FUTURE. PLEASE GET INVOLVED WITH US AND
HAVE SOME FUN!!!!
